Art in Paris Summer Session

This program includes sessions on art history and the study of the art market in Paris .
Courses are conducted in English.
Choose credit or non-credit, mix and match.
A summer program aimed at students who want to experience living in Europe and learn about its arts and the Paris/London art market, past and present.
The course is run in collaboration with Purchase University, New York (part of SUNY).
Studies take place in the museums, galleries, auction houses and dealers four days a week.
Day-trips and private visits to further enrich the experience.
Students take two or three courses in Paris, choosing from the following options:
- Masterpieces of French Art (4 ECTS)
- The Art Market in Paris Past and Present (4 ECTS)
- Beginners French (100), Advanced Beginners (101) or Intermediate French (201) (4 ECTS)
Students take two or three courses in London, choosing from the following options:
- English language (4 ECTS): French for Beginners, Advanced Beginner, intermediate
- The Tradition of the New: British Art 1750 to the Modern Day (2 ECTS)
- The Art Market Today (2 ECTS)
Visits and guest speakers allow for networking opportunities.
The program is available to anyone at the undergraduate or postgraduate level whose grades are equivalent to the US GPA of 2.5 or the European equivalent of C+.
If students are non-native English speakers, they should speak sufficient English to follow the lectures and assignments.
Gap year students or students who wish to learn more about France and England before pursuing their university studies are also welcome.

Students will be requested to send the necessary documents later on in the admission process (like the application form filled and signed, copy of highest degree completed, copy of passport, short resume...)
In addition, Candidates are required to pass an interview, the interviews are conducted in English by telephone or Skype.
Candidates will receive the Admission board’s decision by post and by email. Upon admission, each candidate receives an acceptance letter.
